This exquisite corpse animation was created in Andrei Dan’s Motion class, in collaboration with a group of students exploring the concept of luck—both good and bad. I worked on the intro and outro, where my team and I played with the idea of a bird pooping on a character’s head—something universally unlucky, yet ironically rumored to bring good fortune.

I also created a short sequence featuring a black cat, a creature seen as an omen of bad luck in Western culture but a symbol of good fortune in parts of the East. In this segment, the cat moves through a fisheye-view composition, bringing together various symbols of luck from different cultures, including the evil eye and a horseshoe. The animation embraces the contradictions of luck, blending superstition with playful storytelling.
