Free Font Manifesto Poster

I created a poster to reflect Ellen Lupton’s design characteristics by incorporating an organic typeface and abstract patterns around the composition, highlighting her playful and empathetic design style. To further enhance the concept of open communication and creative freedom, I designed the poster to be rotatable, making it readable in four directions.

This approach mirrors the concept of free fonts and the free flow of ideas. Initially, the design was centered and lacked the boldness and creativity typical of Lupton’s work. To address this, I folded the poster into a booklet, experimenting with various combinations. One of these experiments ultimately inspired the final design.
